Chrysler Group Posts Best Sales in Four Years

They say the auto industry is on the upswing; Chrysler is living proof. Compared to March of 2011, Chrysler’s sales figures are up an impressive 34%. And this means that they have achieved the best sales numbers they have seen in four years.

ChryslerPopular models like the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Journey helped make this increase possible. For example, the Grand Cherokee boasted the best March sales it has had in six years, with a 43% increase since last March. The Dodge Journey set a monthly sales record and Ram truck sales were up 18%.

With gas prices soaring and the demand for new cars on the increase, people are looking to buy new, more fuel efficient models. Chrysler’s dedication to quality and efficiency has lead to these amazing sales figures.

2012 Ford Focus Electric Named Most Fuel-Efficient Five-Passenger Car in America

The 2012 Ford Focus Electric was recently named the most fuel-efficient five-passenger vehicle in America. This all new Electric car outlasted the competition, reaching an amazing 110 MPGe city and 99 MPGe highway.

The 2012 Focus Electric joins Ford’s already impressive fleet of fuel-efficient vehicles, including the 2012 Edge EcoBoost, 2012 Explorer EcoBoost, 2013 Fusion Hybrid, and several others. Ford Fusion Will Soon Help Drowsy Drivers Stay on the Road

The North American International Auto Show will soon showcase the new Ford Fusion with its innovative safety technology to help keep drivers in their lane while driving.  Ford’s Lane Keeping System will debut on the first mainstream midsize sedan, the Ford Fusion.  This technology will also be offered on the Ford Explorer in 2012.

When turned on by the driver, the Lane Keeping System activates a digital camera mounted on the windshield in front of the rearview mirror.  This digital camera continuously scans the road to detect driver drowsiness and lane departure.  If the camera senses this danger, the system immediately vibrates the steering wheel to alert the driver and steers the car back into its lane.

The Lane Keeping System works at speeds above 40 mph and is showcased with a little green car between two lanes on the instrument cluster.  When driver drowsiness and lane departure is detected the car icon turns red and an audible chime goes off as well.  Also in the instrument cluster is an alert gauge with a steaming cup of coffee.  The closer the indicator gets to the cup of coffee, the more necessary it becomes for the driver to stop the car and rest.

The 2012 Ford Focus recently made the top 10 list for Best Redesigned Vehicle by Kelley Blue Book.  Kelley Blue Book chooses those vehicles whose team of designers, product planners, and engineers did the best job of completely transforming the vehicle into something much better.

Kelley Blue Book commented that the 2012 Ford Focus has been “reworked, restyled and completely changed from the model it replaces.”  Other countries have inspired this car’s new look.  The Ford Focus has a European look and feel, but with Japanese fuel economy and in-cabin technologies.

The 2012 Ford Focus now provides drivers with better driving dynamics and a sportier style on the inside and outside.  The Ford Focus is definitely making its mark in North America with its new and improved technologies, features, and fuel efficiency, delivering up to 40 MPG on the highway.
