While it is all around us and we would die without it, we rarely stop to think about it: air! Having clean air contributes to a better quality of life for not only us humans, but the entire earth as a whole. And did you know that clean air can mean preventing certain prevalent diseases, like asthma and chronic bronchitis? All in all, clean air is important!
That is why we have national Clean Air Month. This is a time for us to put the importance of clean air at the forefront and do our part to help solve the problem of pollution. Since cars are a big contributor to air pollution through exhaust emissions, this is a great time to take a good hard look at your car and driving habits.
There are plenty of simple things that you can do to improve the quality of air in your city. Firstly, how about carpooling? This saves gas and money for you and your fellow car poolers, plus it reduces overall car emissions. Or better yet, you could bike to work. And why not if you have a short commute?
Lastly and probably the easiest thing you can do it is have the filters in your car checked and replaced. From the fuel filter to the air filter, filters within your car are meant to trap dirt and debris in order to keep your car running in optimal condition. When these filters are clogged, your car does not performance as well as it should and therefore emits less than clean air.
So head on over to Steamboat Motors to get your filters checked or replaced! It will mean a world of difference to the air and our environment. Get out and do your part for Clean Air Month this May!
